- Our engines are re-conditioned completely by using new and re-machined parts of the best quality. Every motor is fully guaranteed on parts and labour providing that all conditions listed below are followed:
Motor must not be overheated. Every radiator must be cleaned and checked for proper water flow, water pump and radiator hoses checked to ensure proper cooling of the motor. The thermostat must be in good working condition and cars that are equipped with an electronic fan temperature sensor must be changed.
Every engine must be given a 1,000 km. checkup, which involves an oil change, adjust carburetor, oil filter change, check for leaks and check the timing. Engines with solid valve lifters must have clearance checked at the time of installation and after 500 km.
Guarantee is void when engine is used in an application other than intended.
Crankcase must be filled with proper oil.
Passenger car engines that are completely rebuilt are guaranteed for unlimited km. or 1 year. Passenger car engines that are short block are guaranteed 3,000 km. or 3 months. Pickup trucks up to 1 ton completely rebuilt are guaranteed 4,000 km. or 4 months. Pickup trucks up to 1 ton short block are guaranteed 3,000 km. or 2 months. Trucks over 1 ton completely rebuilt are guaranteed 3,000 km. or 3 months. Trucks over 1 ton short block are guaranteed 2,000 km. or 2 months.
In every rebuilt engine, we recommend that the oil be changed every 2,500 to 3,000 km. or once per month.
When engine is not installed by Aero-Hill, warranty does not cover for improper installation, defective accessories, defective cooling system and emission system.
We do not cover towing, hotel accommodation, loss of revenue, car rental transportation or any other incident or damage beyond our control.
Guarantee becomes null and void with change of ownership or if the vehicle is involved in an accident.
No repairs are to be made or motor disassembled in any way without prior authorization from this company.
Parts Guarantee - All parts are guaranteed to the extent of the manufacturer's warranty only. The guarantee will be voided if not adjusted here or if repaired without our prior consent.
IF PURCHASING AN ENGINE ONLINE
ATTENTION INSTALLER The following directions must be strictly adhered to or warranty will be null and void.
Contamination is known to cause premature engine failures, please ensure all attaching components are clean and free of debris. (i.e. intake manifolds, plenums, valve covers, oil pans, oil pickup screens, [we recommend replacement], etc.) DO NOT CLEAN ANY GASKET SURFACE WITH HAND GRINDER, ROTARY WIRE BRUSH, SANDING DISK/PAD, OR ANY OTHER POWER TOOL. CONTAMINATION BY FOREIGN MATERIAL FROM THESE SOURCES WILL VOID WARRANTY.
Ensure all emission control devices and electronic management systems are clean and operating properly (PCV system, EGR system, etc.) These areas are known to cause oil consumption or detonation (i.e. burned pistons and blown head gaskets) NOTE: Check OEM information relating to emission control systems and perform necessary modifications, repairs, and/or replacements.
Ensure cooling system is in good working order - radiator, water pump, thermostat and hoses should be replaced on installation. NOTE: HEAT TABS ARE ATTACHED TO ALL ENGINES. Melted/missing heat tabs indicate misuse, abuse, and/or neglect. OVERHEATING, MELTED, OR MISSING HEAT TABS WILL VOID WARRANTY.
DO NOT USE IMPACT WRENCH WHEN ATTACHING ACCESSORIES (Particularly flywheel bolts and exhaust and intake manifold bolts) USE ONLY TORQUE WRENCH AND OEM SPECIFICATIONS.
USE NO OIL ADDITIVES OF ANY KIND FOR A MINIMUM OF 5,000 MILES/10,000 Kms. NEITHER WE NOR OEM MANUFACTURERS RECOMMEND THE USE OF OIL ADDITIVES.
ALL applications / equipment with REMOTE OIL COOLERS or REMOTE OIL FILTERS must replace lines and coolers in order to validate warranty.
BEFORE INSTALLING ENGINE
Points to check before installing your Remanufactured Engine:
Correct Model
Cubic Inch Displacement
Correct Crankshaft, Counter Weights, Etc.
Mounting Holes for Accessories such as:
Emission Plugs in Heads
Alternator Brackets
Oil Dip Stick Hole
Bell Housing and Dowels
Flywheel on Crankshaft ( Bolt holes for proper size and note some applications need sealer applied, pilot bushing, converter pilot diameter and depth, flywheel centering ring)
Motor Mounts
Warranty will be void if displacement is not same as old engine. The above checks are vitally important in saving time and money. No allowance will be made for freight, labor or other charges if the incorrect model of engine is supplied. It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure the engine supplied is correct before attempting installation. Inspect engine for damages in transit and notify the transport'company of any damage, if there are such damages, it is their responsibility.
HOW TO INSTALL YOUR REMANUFACTURED ENGINE
Clean all original transferable parts (oil pan & valve covers etc.) thoroughly and check for uneven gasket surfaces and damages.
Install new oil pick up screen on oil pump and insure that there is no air leaks between oil puma and pick UD tube.
All applications / equipment with REMOTE OIL COOLERS or REMOTE OIL FILTERS must replace lines and coolers in order to validate warranty.
A new oil pump drive shaft should also be installed on vehicle with hexagon drive shaft or warranty is void.
Check intake manifold to insure no fragment of foreign material of old engine is lodged in manifold, when installing a new engine. Damages to engine due to these causes will not be covered under warranty.
Cooling systems must be clean and have free flow for proper cooling, otherwise engine will run hot causing damage to pistons and rings. Check water pump, fan belts, radiator hoses and also inspect for leakage.
Install new thermostat of proper heat range. Running too hot or too cold will cause premature failure. Test and replace pressure cap if necessary.
Check front harmonic balancer for wear at seal surface and for distorted bore and worn keyway. A worn seal surface will cause oil leak at front timing cover and a distorted bore will damage end of crankshaft.
When installing automatic transmission, push converter back into transmission to ensure proper engagement to front pump drive. Align converter mounting bolts to flywheel or flex plate bolt holes to ensure they will meet without effort. If not, check for misalignment. Never force transmission to engine with mounting bolts as this will cause failure to transmission and to crankshaft thrust bearing. Such failure is not covered under warranty.
On standard transmission, ensure that clutch is aligned with pilot bearing and release bearing adjusted for proper clearance and free pedal play which permits the crankshaft to float freely; insufficient clearance will apply continuous pressure to rear of crankshaft causing rapid wear to crankshaft thrust bearing, resulting in failure to engine and clutch. This condition is not covered under warranty.
Prime the oiling system before starting engine.
Fill filter with oil and install.
Fill crankcase with oil - use 1OW-30 detergent oil for regular service or 5W-20 under extreme cold conditions.
Use electric drill and either screwdriver bit if slotted oil pump or socket if hexagon drive. Rotate oil pump in same direction as distributor ensuring all engine parts are well saturated with oil and that entire oiling system is fully primed.
On engines where oil pump is meshed with camshaft, disconnect coil wire and block throttle open. Rotate engine with starter until pressure shows on oil pressure gauge.
Apply oil liberally on valve stems to prevent scuffing and guide wear.
Check carburetor. A mixture that is too rich will wash oil from cylinder walls and cause piston scuffing and premature ring and cylinder wear. if set too lean, burned or warped valves will result. These conditions not covered by warranty.
Clean and service air cleaner, PCV valve, and breather cap.
Check fuel pump. A faulty pump will cause carburetor to operate improperly resulting in rapid wear as discussed in item 11 above and diluting oil in crankcase. Bearing failure due to this dilution is not covered by warranty.
Check out the exhaust manifold heat riser for carbon build up and the exhaust system for excessive back pressure. A seized heat riser will cause burnt valves.
On some types of engines, the push rods have to be removed when installing intake manifold. As these push rods are not always the same length it is necessary that they be replaced in the same sequence as removed.
Check and clean all other accessories and install.
Fill cooling system to correct level with proper coolant.
Must prelube engine before starting either by priming oil pump or using engine preluber.

Warranty covers only defects in our workmanship, or materials supplied by the engine remanufacturer listed in this booklet. Speedometer must be operative.
To qualify for warranty, registration must be filled out and mailed within 5 days of installation. Postal date will be related to invoice date. A 500 mile (800 km) inspection check must be made, and certificate mailed, at time of service.
The remanufacturer reserves the right to either repair or replace under warranty and where repairs are made all replacement parts will be supplied by the factory wherever possible or practical.
This warranty is not transferable, and applies to the first owner of the engine only.
The following are not covered by warranty - car rental, towing cost, oil, gas, a/c recharge, anti-freeze, oil filters or other accessories, diagnostic, loss of time, car rental charges or hotel accommodations, freight charges, etc. Warranty does not cover engines damaged through tampering, lack of oil and coolant, improper installation and detonations or failure of an auxiliary unit such as carburetor, distributor, water pump, thermostat, air cleaner, fuel pump, etc. Head gasket failure due to engine overheating, detonation and preignition is not covered under this warranty. Gaskets which where supplied & installed are not covered under warranty.
Holes burned through top of piston or ring lands, broken rings or ring lands caused by preignition or detonation due to improper installation is not covered under this warranty policy.
The engine installed must be the same as the original equipment, otherwise the warranty is voided. For example, a 400 C.I. Chevy engine is sometimes substituted for a 350 C.I. engine or vise-versa. Since the operating characteristics of the substituted engine differs from the original the component parts such as cylinder heads, carburetor, air breathing system etc., do not correspond to the engine being substituted and failure will result. Whenever substitutions are made as in the above example or other similar cases, warranty is voided.
Warranty is voided where engines are used as stationary engines, racing or Hi-Performance engines, snow plow engines and similar uses.
New hexagon oil pump drive shaft used in Chrysler and Ford engines must be installed otherwise warranty is voided.
Crankshaft thrust failure in vehicles equipped with automatic transmission is due to faulty torque converters, cracked flex plates, or improper installation of the transmission and is not covered under warranty.
Crankshaft Thrust Bearing failure in vehicles equipped with standard transmission is due to faulty installation of the transmission or improper clutch adjustment. This is not covered by warranty.
Damage caused by fragments, screws and other foreign materials entering the engine through the intake manifold is not covered under warranty.
This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other conditions and warranties, expressed or implied and of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of the engine remanufacturer.
Melted or missing heat tabs will void warranty.
All applications / equipment with REMOTE OIL COOLERS or REMOTE OIL FILTERS must replace lines and coolers in order to validate warranty.
Do not use abrasive pads, discs or bristle devices to clean gasket surfaces on remanufactured engines as this will void the warranty. Use manual gasket scrapers only.
Regular engine service must comply with original manufacturer's service specifications. Proof of regular service must be submitted in the event of a claim. For additional information, read instruction booklet thoroughly.
I year 20.000 km/mile warranty coverage on water pumps supplied with remanufacture engine.
